For those runners staying in central Katoomba or catching a train to Katoomba you will have two options as below.

Walk to the Start via the footpath adjacent to Great Western Highway or
make your way to either the YHA or Carrington shuttle bus stops

Critical Information for all competitors

NO parking, NO stopping and NO drop off at or near the Race Start at the Explorers Tree, nearby streets or the highway. Any runner associated with a vehicle contravening this request will be immediately disqualified. (This is to protect your life, the lives of others and to ensure the continuation of this event).

Race day parking and shuttle buses to race start

There is no parking available at the Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) Car Park. Please find alternative parking in the local area or in Katoomba.

Commencing at 5:30am, a fleet of shuttle buses will operate continuously from Violet Street, adjacent to the Katoomba Christian Convention (KCC) Car Park, transporting runners and spectators to the race start until the final wave has started at 7:45 am. The new revised shuttle route will also service runners and spectators from designated stops outside the YHA Katoomba and the Carrington Hotel, providing transport to both the race start and finish line in accordance with the published timetable.

Upon returning from the finish village to Katoomba, participants and spectators will be dropped off at the same YHA and Carrington stops.

Please refer to the Bus Guide below for more detailed information on all buses and associated timing by waves.

Please move quietly and respect our residential neighbours when parking in Katoomba and walking to the shuttle bus stops.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• There will be bib collection and bag drop available the Start Line, only if you are unable to collect from the Carrington Hotel on Friday between 11am - 7pm.

Start line shuttle bus and parking timetable

Please plan your travel based upon your allocated wave time to avoid queues at the bus pick up. We also suggest and request that runners carpool where possible. Following are suggested times for each wave, priority for boarding buses will be given to earlier wave runners and based upon this timetable.

Spectator bus timetables

Buses for volunteers and spectators to go to the finish line will be scheduled as following.

Katoomba Christian Centre Car Park (KCC) - departing at 6:15am (volunteers only), 7:40am, 8:20am, 8:45am, 10:25am. These buses will stop at YHA and Carrington bus stops.

Start line - departing at 7:45am, 7:55am, 8:00am

Duckmaloi Car Park at Millionth Acre Recreation Area car park (at the intersection of Jenolan Caves Road and Duckmaloi Road) - starting at 9:10am and approximately every 15 minutes.

Finish line buses

Buses back to Katoomba Christian Centre Car Park will start from 12:00 midday and depart as each bus is full. These buses will not stop at the Duckmaloi Car Park or other locations on the way back to KCC Car Park other that the planned stop to drop runners off at the Carrington Hotel and YHA in Katoomba.
